Karen - I am so happy to know that the tutorial was easy to understand. It's hard to know whether instructions are clear when I know what I'm trying to impart. So, this is great feedback. Thank you so much. Let me know how it goes, okay?

Trish, thank you so much for the encouragement. I know just what you mean about non-arty friends and family. You should have seen my family when I showed them my painted shoes yesterday. lol I hope you can find some local friends, too.

Holly - do the class!!!! You would be such a great teacher, and think of the fun you'd have. It would be a great break from the everyday stuff. Miss you, too!

ohhhhhh, so wish I was in the area for that workshop! I hope you find your local tribe real soon.

and Zura..the harlequin instructions in an earlier post - i LOVE them..i am not that kind of artist (I count words and fabrics as my art forms, not paint) so I can really easily get confused reading directions for things like this - but you showed everything step by step (in steps that work for ME)..thanks! looking forward to playing with making that background, I love it!!!!!

The books you recommend are fantastic

Have a wonderful trip!! The only contacts I have are online also, my friends and family are just not into art/crafts. They don't get excited when I show them some "new" old collage papers, new paints etc. it would be nice to have someone to share this art journey with (I think it would help keep me motivated too)

wish you all the best at selling locally-I'm sure you'll do great:)
take care

That sounds like so much fun Zura. I don't have any contacts or arty friends in my city and I think I am craving some companionship. I've been debating running an art journal "class" at the community centre, just so I can meet some new people who like to do the stuff I like to do. Get out there and make some new contacts! You never know what you'll find out there! Hugs. xoxoxo p.s. I miss you!
