Free Images from Child’s Primer

EDIT:  Images have been removed and are no longer available for download.  Please see this post for more information.

I love old school books!  This one is called McGuffey’s Eclectic Primer.  All the pages aren’t here, but I am sharing with you the ones I have.   Feel free to download these images.  Click on the small picture here, and it will open a new window with the larger picture.  The files are huge so it will take a while to download unless you have a fast connection. But they are high resolution images so they will print beautifully.

Hi Zura – I enjoy your newsletter. Is this set one of Artella’s Digital Altered Books?

  2. Zura Says:

Tara, I checked out Artella’s digital book #3 and it does seem that my images are the same. Since I used to work there it’s possible that I gave the images to Marney or that she gave them to me :) I don’t remember for sure but if you are leery of using the images, Project Gutenberg has several McGuffey Primers, copyright free to download at http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/authors/m#a5671.

Thanks for pointing that out to me!

Thanks Zura. I am a big fan of Artella’s Digital Altered Books and contests so I’m very familiar with them – perhaps TOO much so, LOL. You are always so conscious of linking to your sources, which I know is appreciated by all. Keep up the great work.

Thanks, Tara! In our altered art circles, copyright-free images can get confusing :) I do try to cite sources so I appreciate you pointing this out.
