New Art TV
By Zura | May 7, 2008

New Art TV is a website I just discovered. It is a site full of news about the art world, and it’s all videos. Think YouTube for art.
There are videos on museums exhibitions and events, festivals from around the world, as well as visits with artists in their studios.
Some of the videos are in series, much like a tv show. The quality of the videos is good and the site is well organized and easy to navigate.
The picture on the right is a Van Gogh painting called The Girl in Orange. It is from a video of a Van Gogh exhibit at the European Fine Arts Fair.

What a great site thanks for blogging on it! I am going to mention it on my next blog, too. I am in several of your groups and found the link to your blog when you introduced yourself. As a professional artist and writer I am happy for what you are doing to help people explore their creativity.
Van Gogh is and always has been my favorite artist, since as far back as I can recall, so about age 3 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the museum I kind of grew up in. Creativity is a way of expressing who we really are, but it is also a way of seeing, hearing, feeling even smelling the world around us. A good part of perception is how we decode the information we receive from our senses. We receive impressions that we decode based on our previous conscious and unconscious understandings. Artists share their way of seeing the world. They communicate and the best, like van Gogh communicate intimately.
Again, thanks, Judy Rey Wasserman
