Journaling Prompt – What is Your Color?

aaaaaaaa
When anyone asks me what my color is I always say red out of habit. But over the past few years my colors have changed as my life has changed. I had always used primary colors in decorating my home and in my art. Several years ago when I was beginning to recover from a long illness, I noticed that I had begun to choose pink and green in my home, my clothes and my art.
Today I looked through the folder on my computer that has the scanned images of my journal pages and noticed that nearly every page was either pink or some shade of green. When I noticed these colors emerging I associated them with health and healthy growth. That certainly made sense at that time of my life. But recently my friend, Kristina, sent me an article that speaks of those colors referring to the heart chakra. So, once again, it’s about love. That is a recurring theme in my life, so it all seems to have come around to a very healing place for me, and I can’t seem to get enough pink or green.
What colors do you see in your life? Look at your furnishings, decorations, clothes, accessories and your art. Google the meanings of colors and do a little exploring about what your colors symbolize. Write in your journal about the colors and their meaning in your life today.

I love that we’re learning about colors in your Personal Symbology class. I just think it’s so cool that we all intuitively connect with certain colors, themes and symbols, and they have things to teach us. I’ve been on a Blue kick lately, again, and it seems to be about me getting more in touch with my darker, moodier side, and being comfortable with it. Thanks for getting us talking about it!
